Something not working?

Start with the list below — it covers what actually goes wrong most often. If none of it fits, write to us and include what you were doing when it broke.

What happens after the free gas runs out?

You fund the wallet yourself. Gas on Robinhood Chain is cheap — roughly $0.004 per submission, so a dollar covers about 250 of them. Send ETH on Robinhood Chain (chain ID 4663) to the address shown in the extension. We do not top up automatically after the first grant: an open faucet would be drained by scripts creating wallets in bulk, and that money is better spent on mining rewards.

Which sites does the extension work on?

Biomedical and life-science literature: preprint servers, literature indexes, and journal platforms — academic.oup.com, arxiv.org, biorxiv.org, bmj.com, cell.com, cochranelibrary.com, elifesciences.org, europepmc.org, frontiersin.org, jamanetwork.com, mdpi.com, medrxiv.org, nature.com, ncbi.nlm.nih.gov, nejm.org, peerj.com, plos.org, pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov, pnas.org, pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov, pubs.acs.org, scholar.google.com, science.org, sciencedirect.com, semanticscholar.org, springer.com, springerlink.com, tandfonline.com, thelancet.com, wiley.com. The complete list is declared in the extension's manifest, which you can read before installing. Everywhere else the extension stays dormant and does nothing.

Extraction fails or returns nothing

Most often the paper has no abstract on the page, or the abstract contains no causal statement the model recognises. Try a paper whose abstract says something like "X activates Y" or "X inhibits Y". If it still fails on a paper you're sure about, send us the URL — that's a useful bug report.

"Daily free extractions used up"

We cover the AI cost for a set number of extractions per wallet per day. The counter resets at 00:00 UTC. To mine past the limit, add your own provider key (Groq / OpenAI / DeepSeek) in extension Settings — requests then go straight from your browser to that provider, bypass our servers entirely, and no daily limit applies.

Submission fails with an error about the transaction

Mining writes to Robinhood Chain, so each submission costs a small amount of gas — around $0.004 at current prices. We send enough for your first 30 submissions automatically when your wallet is created, so you can start without funding anything. After that the wallet needs its own balance. Check the address shown in the extension has ETH on Robinhood Chain (chain ID 4663) — not on Ethereum mainnet, they are different chains with the same address.

I lost my password

We cannot recover it. The wallet key is encrypted on your device with that password and never leaves it — we never had a copy. If you exported the private key when the wallet was created, import it again with a new password. If you did not, that wallet is unrecoverable. This is the cost of us not holding your keys.

Where do my rewards go?

Accepted submissions settle once per day at 00:00 UTC. Connect the wallet you mine with on the Claim page to see what has accrued.

How do I verify my submission is really on-chain?

Every claim is a real transaction. The Verify page lists them with links to the block explorer, and publishes the exact calldata format so you can decode any transaction yourself without trusting this site.
